MBCC is a vibrant, committed organization of area businesses, owned by Africans and African Americans. Founded in 2000, by Stairstep Foundation, the Chamber's membership includes businesses in manufacturing, wholesale, retail, professional services and nonprofit organizations. We provide access to capital and other resources to enhance business opportunities in the marketplace.

The Chamber serves as an advocate for members in key issues of procurement and participation in government contracts for small businesses. The Chamber promotes strategies to harness the buying power of the African and African American consumer to create wealth for the community.
