Summary:
Federally recognized "closed" reservation, all Red Lake lands are held in common by its members. Red Lake Band is located in Northwestern Minnesota, encompassing approximately 820,000 total acres. Approximately 655,000 acres consist of the main reservation block of land. Approximately 157,000 acres include about 80 percent of the Northwest Angle of Minnesota.
Red Lake currently has 9,300 enrolled members who reside on and off the reservation.
Red Lake Enterprises include: Red Lake Bottle Water Plant, Red Lake Builders (structures and roads), Red Lake Custom Doors, Red Lake Housing Finance, Red Lake Industries, Red Lake Tree Nursery, Red Lake Retail Center, Red Lake Training and Youth Development Center, Jordan-Perpich Extended Care Center, Lake of the Woods Resort and Restaurant, Ponemah Trading Post. Red Lake Gaming Enterprises include: three locations of the 7 Clans Casinos, located in Red Lake, Thief River Falls and Warroad, Minnesota.
